2020 CHALLENGE GRANTS

INNOVATING OUR GRANT PROCESS

This year, we are making some exciting changes to our Challenge Grant program! Beginning this year, all submissions will be made through our new online application portal, Kaleidoscope. We’ll provide a link on the next page where you can create a login profile get started with your application process.

This year, we are also defining some key grant categories for your proposals. We believe these categories will help us align with donors throughout the area in a way that we have not in the past. But not to worry, if you don’t feel your proposal fits one of these categories, you can still apply - just follow the instructions as you go.

Keep reading below to learn more about how to submit your grant proposal!

Let’s Think CHALLENGE!

As you are thinking about grants this year, and developing your ideas, we want you to think CHALLENGE! We CHALLENGE, you to think big. Think outside of the box. Think without limitations. Think about innovation. Break the mold.

Not Just for Teachers!

You might be a custodian, a bus driver, a counselor, a para or a food service employee (just to name a few roles). As long as the proposal is for an educational project, something that helps our students learn, grow and prepare for success after Maize USD 266, we want to hear from you!

For instance, perhaps a team of our Food Service staff members have an idea for kick-starting a district-wide composting program. Or, maybe the Transportation Department has an idea to implement a leadership program that encourages student bus riders to "lead from within." There are lots of possibilities!

First Step: Submit Your Abstract!

Last year this was a new step in the process, and one that you find helpful.

If you've ever wanted simply to get a little feedback on your overall idea before filling out an application--now you can!

All applicants must complete this step, but the reward is a little feedback and some guidance that should help you submit a strong application!
